Enjoy an evening of sharing, art by local artists and artwork and music by black-eyed SUZIE who will perform a selection of songs from their collection of Dark Roots Folk repertoire focusing on the issue of intimate partner violence and the complex challenges that survivors face on the road to healing. black-eyed SUZIE is excited to announce that they've been selected as a feature full band opening Winnipeg's very first Mac and Cheese Festival! They will be performing on The Main Stage at The Forks THIS coming Friday, July 19th at 7:30 - 8:30 PM.

Expect to hear some lively crowd favs, like Whipping Boy and Sticks and Stones, along with some of their newest ambient alternative folk rock tunes that will be making their way to their new release in the coming months.

Raved about in Food Network Magazine, The Mac and Cheese Festival is North America’s largest food festival that celebrates everything mac and cheese, featuring live music along with celebrity chefs, savvy cooks, entrepreneurs and corporate teams who come together to compete to create new concoctions of mac and cheese for fans to try!

black-eyed SUZIE hopes to connect with locals and fans at this exciting new event in the heart of their new home, Winnipeg (and sample some cheesy Macaroni fair)!

If you're not so much a sleeper-inner come out and join us on the morning of June 16th to cheer on the 2019 Manitoba Marathon Runners. This year we will be set up at Point Road and Waterford Avenue beside École Viscount Alexander and will be playing for both the half and full track marathoners from 7:45 - 8:50 and then again at 9:45 - 10:40 AM. Bring water, tea, coffee, breakfast treats, a blanket or lawn chair and your cheering support to help us make this year's marathon even better!

The Manitoba Night Market and Festival is set and ready to return to Assiniboia Downs for a third year! The first Manitoba Night Market of 2019 kicks off Sunday, June 9th from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Join us for unique local artisans, crafts, jewelry, clothing and so much more! The track will be loaded with the best food trucks Manitoba has to offer. Plus kid's activities, entertainment, beer gardens and more! You don't want to miss this unique event!

We will be performing on the main stage at 8:00 PM where you can catch a glimpse of our new drummer Beau!

Admission is only $5 per person and children 5 and under are FREE! Parking $5

Join black-eyed SUZIE for an afternoon concert as part of Winnipeg's annual 2018 Culture Days at the Wayne Arthur Gallery, 186 Provencher Blvd. Christine will have some of her artwork up on display. Admission is free, but there will be a tip jar, coffee and tea onsite.

Sam's Place is a cafe, used bookstore and music venue located in the Elmwood neighbourhood in Winnipeg. They are proud to serve delicious food and beverages, offering everything from sandwiches, salads, and soups to desserts and specialty coffees. The stage hosts a wide variety of events, including many talented local and traveling musicians. There is a cover charge of $5. Performers are compensated with donations by passing around the old red cowboy boot that sits on the stage, and a free drink.

Sam's Place is a project of Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba, and it is made possible by a vibrant community of dedicated, hardworking staff and volunteers.

Proceeds from Sam's Place support the work of MCC in Manitoba and around the world.
